With Thanksgiving coming up tomorrow, I want to wish everyone a happy holiday and safe travels if you are going somewhere. May your day be filled with abundance, joy, and love. And of course, may you be thankful for the blessings in your life and mindful of where all blessings come from (James 1:17).
You don’t have to look very hard in the Bible to discover the importance of being thankful:
Christ gave thanks before instituting the Lord’s Supper (1 Cor 11:24)
Thankfulness helps fight off anxiety (Phil 4:6-)
We are to give thanks in all circumstances (1 Thes 5:18)
Thankfulness is an important part of a Christians life. It leads humility. It places you in a position to recognize that something has been done for you and that there are, indeed, good things in your life. It goes without saying that we shouldn’t need a holiday to be a people full of thanks. But tomorrow, may you take time to make it a special day to count your blessings.
God bless you all, and happy Thanksgiving!
