On Sunday, Lord willing, we will gather to worship during the 10 o’clock hour here at NHCOC. We want and expect you to be there. Make it a priority over EVERYTHING else in your life. Usually, on Sunday mornings, there are no other events or tasks that have been scheduled that would interfere with you and your family coming to worship. Usually, on Sunday mornings, we are faced with deciding to go to worship or not based on other things. For some, it’s no question where they will be. For others, the question is proposed every Sunday. Do we really have to go? Can we watch it online? Is it really that important? Dangerous questions that hinder us from coming together with the church as the early Christians did. But, ponder this question:
Did you know that worshiping God is coming before Him in His presence?
When we gather for worship this Sunday, our goal is to set our mind and mood on being before the Lord. We gather together in His house with reverence and concentration as we worship Him as our God.
Psalm 95:6-7
Come, let us worship and bow down,
Let us kneel before Yahweh our Maker.
For He is our God,
And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand.
These wonderful words of this worshipful life are expressed in this song:
Lord, we come before Thee now,
At Thy feet we humbly bow;
O do not our suit disdain!
Shall we seek Thee, Lord, in vain?
In Thine own appointed way,
Now we seek Thee, here we stay;
Lord from hence we would not go,
Till a blessing Thou bestow.
Grant that all may seek and find
Thee a God supremely kind;
Heal the sick, the captive free.
Let us all rejoice in Thee.
On Sunday morning, walk in the auditorium and gather with us to worship the Lord whom we come before and bow but do it in such a way as if it is the most important thing you could ever do.
I love you,
Alex
