Join us today up on the hill for the Solar Eclipse!
We will be singing, praying, and studying Scripture together, as well as enjoying food and fellowship before the event. Then, when the time comes, we will all turn our gaze to the sky and watch the mid-day sun darken before our eyes. If you’ve never seen an eclipse…it is a spectacle you’ll never forget.
The disciples once stood on a hilltop and admired the Lord ascending into Heaven, being in awe as He was translated before their eyes. They were, in fact, so transfixed, that the angel of the Lord had to snap them out of it, and say, essentially (Acts 1:9-10): “Get to work guys. Don’t stand around staring up at the sky. The Lord who ascended will, one day, descend from the same heavenly direction. Until then, there are souls who need to hear about Him. Go fish.”
I hope you’ll join us today, but if you can’t, I hope you’ll steal a peek at the spectacle above you, and then remember that one day, that sky will split and the Lord will descend with a shout.
Until then… go fish.
