Before the days of sin and grief
There was a garden fair.
None were there to till the ground
So God placed Adam there.
The Master’s voice proclaimed a choice
But Adam turned aside.
A flood began with every man
A victim of its tide.
When hope seemed lost and the battle doomed
We cried out for some-one.
So God responded, and to the cross
He sent His special Son.
While we were drowning in floods of sin
He came and gave His blood.
He sought us, bought us, made us His own
To live with him for good.
